As the temperatures continue to steadily rise, Denver residents anxiously await the opening of the city’s cadre of outdoor swimming pools to fend off summer’s heat.
     Continuing for the third year with the lengthening of the swimming season by a week, the Denver pools will be open June 2-August 16.
     Pool patrons will have several payment options to get them through the turnstiles and into the water.
     Daily fees cost $3 for those ages 18-64. Seniors and those with disabilities pay $2 per day. Kids age 17 and under will be admitted free to city pools this summer. A seasonal pass will cost $40 for ages 18-64; and $25 for senors age 65 and over, and those with disabilities.
     A 3-month membership to Denver Recreation Centers is available that includes outdoor pool use as part of the benefits. The 3-month Adult Membership costs $37.50 for residents and $50 for non-residents; the Youth Membership costs $8.75 for residents and $15 for non-residents; and Seniors and disabled pay $16.25 for residents and $22.50 for non-residents.
