Denver Film Society, at StarzFilm Center in the Tivoli, 900 Auraria Pkwy., presents: June 6-12, Jar City; 13-19, Stuck and Tuya’s Marriage; 20-26, Mister Lonely and The Edge of Heaven; 27-July 3, Mother of Tears and Water Lilies; July 4-10, The Gits and XXY.
     The Movies That Missed Us – great films that weren’t shown in a Starz Film Festival for various reasons – every June Wednesday, 7p.m.: 11, Benjamin Smoke, a Southern Gothic Rock-umentary; 18, Seom (The Isle), from one of South Korea’s best filmmakers, Kim Ki-duk; and 25, Taxidermia, a Hungarian family searching for paths to immortality.
     Old School, New School, compares “classic cinema” of two generations: June 13, Rear Window (1954) and Disturbia (2007).
     Seeing Double – two films from one source novel: Swing Time (1936) and Save the Last Dance (2001), June 19 & 21.

     Kids First! Free Movie offers a different kid flick every Saturday at 10:30a.m.: June 7, Care Bears – Sharing in the Sunshine; 14, Bob the Builder – 3 Musketrucks; 21, Inspector Gadget – Big Little Problems; 28, Care Bears – Ups and Downs.

     Opens June 27: When Did You Last See Your Father?, son deals with father’s terminal illness; Savage Grace, tragic story of the rich heirs to Bakelite plastics fortune.
